Overview: Up for sale is a fantastic expressionist autumn mountain landscape oil painting on board. The painting is signed Ridder at lower right. There is also a nameplate on the frame describing the artist as Ridder. An excellent little midcentury mountain scene. Based on style and canvas age, I'd date this to the 1940s or 1950s. Framed in a period wood frame with linen matting.
Condition: Painting is in very good condition. Minor staining in sky area (could use a cleaning). Matting is toned. Frame is in very good condition.
Measurements: Painting measures approximately 10 inches high x 8 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 13 inches high x 11 inches wide.
