This set features the 9/11 commemorative patch that players wore on their jerseys and warmups during this season.
While trying to figure out who wore this , and based on a lot of research, here's my best guess. Also, this item was purchased in the Dallas area, from a higher end store that sells used clothing.
Dallas Mavericks, 2001-2002 Season:
* XL Size with +4 Length: This points to a taller player. The +4 is significant.
* It being a warm up jersey, so any player on the team is a possibility. The tallest players on the 2001-2002 Mavericks roster who would realistically need an XL with +4 inches of length:
* Dirk Nowitzki (7'0 ): Nowitzki remains a very strong candidate. The +4 length would be very appropriate for his height, and he was a star player, making it likely his gear would be customized. The marking on the inside of the lapel could very well have been a 4 four one marked out with a one
