Multicolor enamel over brass inlay. Highly detailed depictions include Cranes (Egrets / Herons / Ibis) in a beautiful landscape / seascape including trees, ocean and Cherry Blossoms as well as scrolling and other intricate patterns. White cranes are a Chinese symbol for longevity. Cloisonné is a process where enamel is applied to a metal object in a series of compartments, creating a raised design that is then fired in a kiln. The result is a beautiful and durable piece of art that is both stunning and functional.SIZE: Measures 10 1/4” H. Diameter at the base is 3 1/4”.
