Vintage, original Lobby Card (LC) for director George Cukor’s 1952 romantic sports comedy “Pat & Mike” starring Katharine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy. The movie was written by Ruth Gordon & Garson Kanin. Gordon and Kanin were nominated for the 1952 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for their work on “Pat & Mike”.
An unrestored & well maintained Title Lobby Card (LC) in very fine condition from the original release of the 1952 film “Pat & Mike”. The LC features different images of the two legendary stars & was displayed in film theaters. It has minor wear & tear around edges & corners, pinholes & creases in top center & a few faint smudges around edges. Otherwise this LC is in great condition & displays very well. Please see images.
Kanin & Gordon were friends with Hepburn & Tracy, and had the idea of writing a film to showcase Hepburn's athletic abilities. She was an avid golfer & tennis player, & indeed performed all the sports footage in the film herself. Many notable athletes appear.
