Antique Arthur Wood Brown Glazed Teapot, two handles, Holds 8 cups, made in England, English teapot, afternoon tea, Brown Betty, collectible
A gorgeous large 8-cup Brown Betty style teapot featuring a second handle at the front to help hold it steady while pouring. It comes from the Arthur Wood Pottery which was established in 1884 and based in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent. This teapot dates between 1904 and 1928, before Wood's son joined the firm. It operated until 1989, when the company was bought up by Price & Kensington.
A great teapot for a collector. Looks lovely displayed. Great for serving a crowd.
In good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Some crazing, but that is typical for a teapot that could be up to 120 years old!
