Weighing 8.1g total, I subtracted the matrix which is probably quartz and bixbite to land at 35 carats of rough Champagne color topaz. This may just be an imperial but it's difficult to judge before the cut. It is also a great mineral specimen for collectors. The topaz is perfectly one uniform color and consistency as far as light will penetrate.
