Adorable antique litho framed print of a boy fishing off a dock. Looks like he has been successful as he eyes his little fish with satisfaction. He holds a rudimentary fishing pole with he fishing line pinched in his little chubby fist in his right hand. He has on denim jean overalls and a bucket hat. This print is from an American primitive artist, W.S. Mowbray. This print is also advertising memorabilia with "Plumbing and Tinning Keiper & Vockroth" stamped on the dock edges. This company dealt in plumbing pipes and tinning process products. Tinning is the coating of normally oxidizable metals with a thin layer of tin to prevent rust. This would make a perfect gift for Father's Day, kids room decor, advertising memorabilia collector, plumber and industrial worker, fisherman or fisher person, antique art aficionado, lake cabin decor, farmhouse style, country living decor.Size: 16.25" x 11.25" x 0.5"Condition: Very good condition for an antique lithograph. Framed in a black wooden frame with beaded decorative trim along edge. Wire, ready to hang. The litho has darkened with age but the advertising stamping is still pretty legible. There is a squiggly scratch close to the mouth of the fish- It blends in with the subject and I originally thought it was the fishing line! Some mild and consistent rippling of the print. Frame has some small scattered paint scuffs. Please see all photos and video- they are part of the description.NPK- (all)
