Rare Libyan Desert Glass Necklace Tektite Gemstone
This listing is for a Libyan glass crystal, that has been drilled and set with a 925 sterling silver bail. I will include a new silver plated chain. The last pictures shows size comparison with a tape measure and a quarter.
ABOUT LIBYAN DESERT GLASS
Also known as Libyan Gold Tektite or Great Sand Sea Glass, this naturally formed material is thought to have been created about 26 million years ago. Collected over a wide area ranging from the sandy strewn-areas of the eastern Sahara, western Egypt to the deserts of eastern Libya, this material has become increasingly difficult to obtain.
