Born from such an imagination, we have produced fictional US Army chino trousers.
Based on the 1940s US Army chinos, we incorporated our ideal details, thinking, If this part was like this... and finished them as a pair that could be called the complete form of chinos.
The straight belt waist gives a more masculine impression.
The deep two-tuck design creates a silhouette that balances composure and roominess.
The watch pocket with a flap adds an American traditional atmosphere, and a practical coin pocket is also placed inside the right pocket.
The back pockets have been updated to double-welt pockets, which require more sewing, and by increasing the hip darts to two places, a three-dimensional and natural fit has been achieved.
The front uses a zipper fly for practicality instead of the vintage-like button fly. Urea buttons, which follow the atmosphere of the time, have been selected for the buttons.
The fabric uses Ventile cotton, woven at an ultra-high density.
It excels in water resistance, water repellency, breathability, and moisture permeability, and boasts specifications that are more than sufficient as a functional material, despite being 100% cotton.
The silhouette has also been repeatedly prototyped and modified, and adjustments have been made without compromise down to the smallest details.
The model name, M-49, comes from the imagination of if these pants had been issued by WAIPER.inc in the late 1940s.
