Juanita Fragua Jemez (1935-2023) Pueblo Melon Pot. This is a melon pot that is hand formed and stone polished. It has even medium built walls. A pot that is in good shape and no damage. There is an arrow on the inner top part of the pot part of her signature mark. Also, her signature is on the bottom.
Juanita Fragua was of the Corn Clan and has been an active potter since the 1950s. She was taught by her mother, Rita Magdalena and has taught several known potters: Clifford Fragua, Glendora Fragua, Barbara Jean Chavez
