Vintage yellow textured, pebbled ceramic set with red blooms, hand-painted in Japan. This plate features a grapefruit skin-like texture with a creamy yellow glaze and a black outline on the rim. There are patches of raised flowers and leaves on branches around the rim pointing inward that are hand-painted. The bottom is marked with a flower in which is the letter H. This potter's mark with the words Hand Painted Japan is attributed to the Hotta Yu Shoten & Co. Pottery shop, dated approximately 1920-40.
