A Hariyama finger puppet peeked out from the back of a desk drawer.
I can't remember who put it there anymore.
But its perfectly round palm and serious gaze somehow reminded me of us back then.
Laughing, crying, and fighting needlessly.
It was quietly there in the middle of all those days.
A small hero.
Supporting our youth with its large hands.
A voiceless whisper, We'll meet again,
Like grains of stars in an infinitely expanding galaxy,
the finger puppet slipped through my fingers.
