Beautiful set of eight luncheon plates by Royal Cauldon from their rustic and textured ironstone Woodstock botanical series. All plates have a heavily embossed rim (resembling hydrangea or lace-like floral texture). The set consists of (1) Rock Rose (3) Rock Purslane (2) Lady Slippers and (2) Cardinal Flowers. Plates were produced in mid-20th century (1950s-1970s) and some have visible surface crazing (craquelure) which is typical for Bristol Ironstone and can affect value slightly but is often expected by collectors. Based on replacements.com prices (plates run from 13.99 to 49.99 each depending on pattern), this set would be valued at 139.92 (4 x 19.99 + 2 x 15.99 + 2 x 13.99).
