Hand carved African fertility statues from the Maasai tribe from southern Kenya, purchased from an American diplomat. Statues (1) male and (1) female are approximately 14” in height. Tribal legend states the fertility statues assist couples in conceiving. They are blessed by a shaman and placed in the doorway of the couples bedroom. The woman touches the statues before attempting to conceive to assist with the likelihood of pregnancy.
