This is an antique Pairpoint Crystal advertising paperweight, likely dating back to around 1920. Pairpoint was a glassworks company descended from Mount Washington Glass Works in Sagamore, Massachusetts.
It is made of cobalt blue glass with the word Pairpoint in script and Crystal Sagamore Mass. embossed on the surface which is extremely rare and is not found anywhere!
Paperweights like this were often used as promotional items or desk accessories.
The amber color and the style of the lettering are characteristic of the Art Deco era.
It is in overall very good condition, with wear consistent with age and use.
Paperweights were produced by Pairpoint in different colors and styles, some featuring a crimp rose design.
