This earthenware pitcher was made in the 1920's in Longton, England. It has a matte glaze, a double handle and a round foot. The color is a mottled ivory. The printed backstamp reads, Beswick /Ware /Made in /England , with an embossed 98/1 . Height: 10 in.; width with handle: 6 in. The jug is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is one 2mm glaze nick in the center of the handle (see pic #8).
