This item is the Weems & Plath Brass Stormglass Mysterios Weather Predictor Plaque Display. It includes a brass/chrome cylinder that houses the liquid that changed solubility and forms different patterns of crystals when the weather changes mounted on a plaque w/ a legend explaining the 5 most common formations (predictions of weather).
It can predict weather up to 48 hours in advance. On the back are slots for a nail to hang (nail included) in the wall or it can simply freestand using the easel backing.
In great pre-owned condition, was never actually displayed just collected and kept. The cylinder housing the liquid can spin and swivel on the plaque for ease of storing. This item is 348 on the Weems & Plath website
