This stunning vintage beret is made of soft beige fabric STRIPS which are topstitched to form the hat. The beret is folded at the front, and trimmed with a beautiful rust colored feather "flower" with small green fabric leaves. The stem is secured with a small bow made of the same material as the beret.Berets have been in fashion since the 19th Century in France and Spain, and are timeless and an important part of fashion in the last century.There is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
